Halo: Divine Wind

Based on the New York Times best-selling video game series, an original novel is set in the Halo universe. In October 2559, with the galaxy under the control of a renegade artificial intelligence, a new danger has emerged: The Keepers of the One Freedom, a fanatical and ruthless Covenant splinter group, have made their way to an ancient Forerunner installation known as the Ark. Their leader, an infamous Brute named Castor, intends to activate Halo and continue the Great Journey into transcendence, which the Covenant failed to achieve.

Unbeknownst to Castor and his unexpected ally on the Ark, there are traitors in their midst - the Ferrets, consisting of Office of Naval Intelligence operative Veta Lopis and her team of Spartan-IIIs. They have been infiltrating the Keepers to prepare for Castor's assassination. However, with ONI's field operations cut off by the Guardian threat, Veta's mission has escalated dramatically. The Ferrets must stop the Keepers, or else the galaxy will face an extinction-level event.

There is no choice or fallback plan. The galaxy's fate hangs in the balance as the Keepers of the One Freedom and the Ferrets clash in the Halo universe.
